Did front squat triples to 205 pre-WOD. Also raoldmny got 4 muscle-ups: revenge on the rings for tearing up my hands last week.Worked up to #135 on the hang snatch, which was my previous 1RM. Finally felt like I was getting the hang of catching in a full squat which was nice.Did the WOD Rx+ at #70 with Sam. Beat him to the last burpee for 3:59. Great metcon.

dan took us thru a great warm up. a great review of the over head squat bcnalae as well as a power clean, power squat review.we followed that up with a 12 min amrp that didn't leave us dead but let us know we had accomplished a great work out. what a nic e day at cross fit.

Loved the mobility work done by Ryan to get ready for the snacthes. I did a total of 60 reps and had 1.5 minutes to go at 165#. I had already reached my goal and the most I've ever snatched is 155#, so did 2-3 attempts and couldn't make it stick.Ready for number 3!

Sister your problem is you're gpipring the balls too tightly on the sides. You need to cup the balls from underneath on the way down, and then give them a firm push on the way up. That will ensure they have enough force to not bounce back at you off the wood lest you catch a ball on the chin.Simple physics really. Force = MyAss x AceEleration

When I first started xfit I had a much hhgier FS from doing high bar back squats at my old gym (but a relatively weak back squat). As I developed a much stronger low bar back squat my FS suffered. Finally back to where I once was, but with a much better Back Squat (about 80#'s more now). 255 x 2 (almost a 3rd) on Front Squat for a new PR.Nice and Fast metcon. Brad challenged me to go under 5 Minutes. 4:59 RX, just made it.

ha! i didn't even notice this pic. ewan has boceme my pre-WOD warmup. i'm thinking of letting you all have a go at it today he did all of the basic 5 with me (sans pullups), even the benchpress v. push ups. he didn't get how to stay in a ball for turkish getups, though (thank the lord).
