First of all, your posts are very comment wohrty. Don't sell yourself short! Second, if I am reading this correctly, the professor is basing a grade on how many comments the blog gets? If that is the case, this professor needs to be taught that compelling content will generate comments, not just any old blog post. A better way to go about this would be to challenge the students to take a daily hot button topic, blog about, and then get the word out via Twitter, Facebook, etc. Then, as Niki says, measure them on how many views.I'm sad that we are grading college students on popularity, not content.

I don't know the specifics of how they are graedd. I'm SURE there HAS to be more to it than just comments, but still, I don't feel that should be a factor at all. I think the grades should be based on the relevance and insight of the content. And then students should be asked to analyze their comments/views and write a reflection paper on the blogging process. But again, the number of comments/views shouldn't directly affect the grade.Thanks for the comment, Niki
